Bio: Richard Sanchez
Richard Sanchez is a native of Colorado and has extensive outdoor experience in hunting, fishing, boating, ATVing, wilderness survival, camping and hiking. After serving six years in the U.S. Army, Richard returned back to Colorado and began a career in law enforcement.

Sgt. Richard Sanchez (Ret.) recently retired after serving twenty six years in law enforcement in the Denver metro area. His career included serving as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Patrol Sergeant, Color Guard Team Leader, SWAT/SRT Operator and Team Leader. His true career passion was being a certified instructor in several law enforcement related subjects. Those subjects included: department Firearms Range Master/Master Firearms Instructor, Officer Survival/Safety Instructor, Use of Force Instructor, core instructor in the departments Citizen Police Academy and a Colorado Terrorism Liaison Officer. Richard graduated from the FBI National Academy Session #229 in 2007. In May 2011 Richard was appointed the Denver and State of Colorado Chapter Commander of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance.

Richard Co-Founded Realistic Safety Solutions LLC with Founder and Instructor Nicole Sundine in 2006. Upon his retirement in early 2011, Richard joined RSS full time as an instructor and support staff member. Richard assists Nicole with teaching the physical and special weapons portion of her four level personal safety course. He also has developed the recently released Adventure Safety Strategies Course for outdoor enthusiasts.
